Just heard about #Mosstodon so here's a contribution to it - a tiny scene from the woods at our place on #GabriolaIsland #BC. We have masses of #moss, which I love and often photograph - I'm happy to hear so many others are fans as well.

I've never seen this particular kind of moss: it almost looks like shag-carpeting or some kind of textile! It's really cool.
@Octopode Thanks for the kudos! And I agree, it's very cool moss with lots of lovely, soft texture. We have numerous sorts of mosses here (we live on a mostly-forested rural property in Pacific NW) and when I get my camera very close to them I see each type's uniqueness (though ID'ing them in terms of species is a challenge). I will try to post some more before too long now that I know there are so many #mossophiles on this site.
