Can’t wait to show her this
Update: my wife says I have misled you all. That I should have specified that I eat all the pie filling before ANY crust. Bottom or side. She says this will skew the voting.
@rooster hmmmmm ANY crust? at ALL? gotta go with your wife, here
@nerdybutcute I just read it and I did specify ALL the filling I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong here.
@rooster trooooo. troo. i am appalled by your heresy but unable to find fault in your logic!
@rooster @nerdybutcute anything except for eating pie like that
@rooster She's just wrong, its really the only way. If it was crust first it would be served the other way up on a plate!
@rooster I do the exact opposite. I’m not that keen on pastry, and I always like to save the best but for last, so I eat all the crust first and then the filling. I eat the crusts of sandwiches before the filling too. But it’s definitely a personal choice thing!
@purplepadma omg the crust is my favorite part that’s why I save it. Wait do you flip it over and eat the bottom?!
@rooster If it’s in a bowl with a spoon I try, but then it’s probably soggy from custard so I don’t mind the pastry so much. If eating with fingers (and I’ve been eating a lot of sweet mince pies like that lately) that’s not really possible unless you are willing to get incredibly sticky
@rooster My gf's sister eats pie like this and I always took it as a compliment because it must mean she really likes my crusts. Or at least I'm happy to interpret it that way 😅
@rooster youre like scooping out the filling leaving deflated top crust?
@usunoro oh yeah if there's a top crust I remove it to eat the filling and eat it before the bottom and then side crusts.
@rooster seems like a lot of work to deflavor the crust as much as possible
@rooster so are you peeling off the top crust on something like apple pie?
@BobSux oh yeah and then saving it for after all the apples but before the bottom crust.

@rooster I had a friend who would dissect her ravioli, eat the inside, and then eat the pasta.

I have learned that people are weird and not to worry about what order they eat things in.

@rooster That's... That's just how pie is eaten. Right? Like the crust is a little plate you get to eat at the end?

@rooster *reads through the choices*

... Wait a minute...

@rooster If I ate pie I would probably eat it like this.
@rooster You should definite start slowly on the outside edges before going inside. Wait, what are we talking about?

@rooster Wait wait.

Differentiate between the bottom crust and the edge crust. Because those are wildly different and your sloppiness could mislead voters.

@ellie I don't eat either. I eat everything inside the pie and scrape down the entire crust, bottom and edge. And then I eat that.
@rooster Wow. I did not realize it was possible for you to be doing it so incredibly wrong. Please forward my condolences to your wife.
@rooster Um.... This seems... biased...
@rooster There’s… another way to eat pie?
@rooster the missing fourth option, of course smh
@rooster
Is there another way to eat pie? =-|
@ixtlidekami I’m surprised so many people eat pie correctly!!!
@rooster
My dear grandma, may God have her in the deepest part of hell, taught all her grandchildren The Right Way to eat pie since we were al toddlers…=)
@rooster I start at the smallest point, and when that bite size gets longer than the span of the fork, I angle the fork to cut fork bite sized pieces from the sides, at angles toward the crowning glory of any piece of pie, the rolled or pinched crust top. When I reach the last third or fourth of the piece, I tip over the crusted pie piece and eat perfectly balanced slices along the crusted edge until it’s gone. It’s either that or eating it with my hands. There’s no middle ground.
@JaneEyreZH the efficiency and consistency a good pie deserves.
@rooster I should mention that my brother and my kids are filling first eaters…
@rooster However you eat the rest of the pie is fine as long as you remember to match it with an equal MASS of whipped cream.
@rooster I pry the lid off, and then I eat the lid, and then I eat all the filling, and then I eat the crust afterward.
@rooster It's like a "deconstructed pie", you're just deconstructing it at the time of eating.
