Energy officials announce nuclear fusion breakthrough, herald a âmilestone for the future of clean energyâ
This is so incredibly huge and itâs gonna take a minute for the masses to realize it.
Kansas Grant@Sonikku Point taken but my first thought upon hearing about that was: "How long will it take to scale that up to generate power commercially? And will it be in time to save us from climate change?"
Just thinking through the possibilities.
@KansasGrant just seems like my whole life it was always âOh fusion is a few years awayâ, and I kinda just figured itâd always be that way. For them to achieve a net energy gain after all this time is crazy.
And yeah, ramping up and commercialization gonna take a while yet but still, such a huge achievement. One more âit used to be SciFiâ thing to check off the list.
