A green card application for us could take 12-20 months. A work visa would be ideal. She is Master’s level educated, works in #Banking w/ #Tech and #ProjectManagement experience.
I am chronically ill and need help asap.

Help me out here, folks. Would it be appropriate to crowd fund to help make this happen? It’s going to cost us nearly 4k Canadian dollars to get the green card application filed + lawyer fees. I’m unable to work - We can’t afford that, like ever. But I also feel bad asking anyone to help us, as I know everyone is fighting their own battle.
Feedback and ideas are greatly appreciated.
@britt I wouldn’t feel bad about crowdfunding. Yeah, a lot of people are going through something, including me. But there’s absolutely nothing wrong about advocating for yourself and/or a loved one.
Besides, even if you don’t get all you need, you’re likely to get something. And something is better than nothing!
