It feels very free the first time you can drive yourself somewhere, but it's a trap. After that you're stuck.

@BrentToderian Everyone gets to do what they want (drive), when they want (at the same time), and with no consideration about how their behavior might impact others. I'm pretty certain that IS the American definition of freedom.
@BrentToderian That's why I like #PublicTransport, especially if the ticket system is plain and simple like the #9EuroTicket in Germany or the #KlimaTicket in Austria. This is true freedom (however, cars are often more comfy).
@BrentToderian One thing I think may change this is the work from home shift: Traffic has never returned to previous levels on my commute. For many people, cars are now less compulsory in my area, and for those of us who need them, it's far less painful to commute.
