As a trans woman, my allies aren't just other trans people, they're fat activists and disability activists and sex workers and anti-racists and everyone who is fighting for the right to be themselves and own their own bodies
@charliejane Oh I'm about all of that..but that fat activist thing most of all.
@charliejane
Anyone who uses smartphones (ARM chips) or VLSI semiconductors (ie anyone reading this) generally should know 2 trans women were key innovators, both honored as Fellows of #ComputerHistoryMuseum(among other awards):

@charliejane @alda If I only fight for my rights, will there be anyone left to fight with me?

Which is why I say human rights for everyone, whether I like them or not, whether I agree or not. Human rights can not be allowed to be conditional.

I’m an ally to everyone because we all need bodily autonomy one way or another. Why isn’t important because that’s for everyone to figure out themselves.

(Disclaimer, I rescind ally ship for those opposing human rights.)

@charliejane There is fallacy and narcissism in wanting to be hard enough to be self made. Its all a lie, we need others in our life to make us whole. We need the missing peaces that we cannot possess.
