dear god it’s really rancid over there. the stuff I’m used to seeing on later banned accounts or on stormfront
@joshtpm at what point do you leave Josh? Posting anything at all is just giving fuel to the feed. Creating impressions and giving him runway.
@Jsalvo thinking about it
@joshtpm @Jsalvo Josh, if I may suggest tagging Apple, Google and Amazon on all those rancid posts.
Basically, “You guys cool with this? Just checking what the market share of Nazi’s you guys are trying to advertise to.”
@ygadinthesix @joshtpm you think they haven’t noticed? There’s no tweet you can hit publish on that’s gonna fix it.
@Jsalvo @joshtpm think of it as a brand safety brute force attack.
@ygadinthesix @joshtpm @Jsalvo
This is exactly what needs to be done.
Also Screencap them first because they might be deleted eventually.
And a screencap with a timestamp allows the companies to see how quickly Twitter acted (or didn't act)
Musk is planning on using AI for content moderation, but the trolls are very clever and learn how to outsmart them. Musk fired the people on the Trust and Safety who can figure out the tricks & dodges of trolls.
@spocko @ygadinthesix @joshtpm the companies know. Your tagging them isn’t persuading them, it’s just creating more impressions. Impressions that goose Melon’s usage stats, which make it more valuable for advertisers. The one thing you can do to break that cycle, is JUST. STOP. TWEETING. That’s it. The only way to win bird site war, is to not play bird site war.
@Jsalvo @ygadinthesix @joshtpm I hear you. I looked up the contacts at those companies and send them emails. Also, I suggest using the same methodology as what Trusted Flaggers will use in the EU.
Explain what the illegal content was, when it was posted. Then the actions or non actions by Twitter can be tracked
