A VIRTUAL TOUR OF SCOTLAND

We travel 14 miles south to Isle of Whithorn. This is a real gem, an old seaport with true character and a powerful sense of history, though no longer home to an isle. Harbour improvements in 1790 included the building of a causeway linking the island with the mainland, on which parts of the village have since been built.
