Starting to think, with a heavy heart, that a LOT of the people who set up accounts here but are just feeding stuff through from the fowl app are going to get a BIG culture shock when the fowl app actually does die because they've made no effort to make the change :(

Like that idiot journalist who did that long screed the other day pearl clutching about how people could block him (they always could, he just didn't notice) and admins could read his DMs (they always could, he just didn't notice)

@miss_s_b I guess you have to careful to use the "Whole word" checkbox, so as not to also block talk of Bert, jorts, or arthritis (spit).
(At least, Mastodon 4 over here has such a choice)

(I've mostly gone for muting or not following accounts that do or boost a lot of boring birdsite crossposts)
