I have just seen a post on Post from someone stating “Do not use Mastodon.” These kind of posts annoy me. Because someone has a bad experience we should all leave. There felt like there was something going on, some bias, some ulterior motive. I am not leaving Mastodon. I like it here. I like the people I have met here.

@SpockResists I read it and am annoyed as well. I’m sorry this person had such an experience and certainly don’t blame them for blogging about it. I might have done so as well in the same situation.

However, had the message been in the vein of “this was my experience so caveat emptor”, I wouldn’t have been as irked. But instructing followers to leave Mastodon immediately was totally uncalled for.

Come to find out it was an unverified account… big names need to verify who they are… the Monica Lewinski account was unverified and is now suspended… this is for their own protection….
