I have just seen a post on Post from someone stating “Do not use Mastodon.” These kind of posts annoy me. Because someone has a bad experience we should all leave. There felt like there was something going on, some bias, some ulterior motive. I am not leaving Mastodon. I like it here. I like the people I have met here.

@SpockResists @lashman maybe we should listen to them and try to resolve/prevent the kinds of experiences they had rather than brushing them off because you haven’t had a bad enough experience to push you away yet?

@EposVox @SpockResists @lashman

There are things that can be improved in Mastodon. I would love for there to be more ways to discover content across the fediverse.

I'm sure I could do more, but I feel like discovering things beyond my instance is slow going at best.

I was disheartened to hear that one of the most recommended mechanics for this, hashtag searching, still doesn't pickup all the toots with that hashtag.

@EposVox @SpockResists @lashman i think it also depends on if those who have said bad experiences are willing to share their experience and be willing to help the community become better...

Most people don't even make it to that first point of sharing their experience.
