It’s time to bring America’s deported veterans home.
Five years ago, I led a Congressional delegation to meet with a group of U.S. veterans deported to Mexico after serving our country.
Today, I was honored to tell their story as the House voted to help them get legal status.

@Joaquincastrotx A thousand times this!! We made a promise to these veterans and Trump reneged on it. Time to undo more of his damage.

@Lee_in_Iowa @Joaquincastrotx this hasn’t been going on only in the Trump era. This has been going on in 2008 when I was in the miltary as well.

@jlosito THAT's not good news! We cluster our soldiers up in tight quarters, and we send them places where there are "non-community" viruses to which they won't have any immunity at ALL. At the least, we could be protecting them against the killer diseases we DO know about. #Military #Immunizations #vaccines
