@marklemley @mmasnick How does one punish a corporation for committing crimes? Can you put the company in prison? Maybe it has to 100% halt all operations for a term equivalent to what a human would get for committing that crime? Or maybe all the board members should do the time?
@alpert @marklemley @mmasnick I read on one article the big impact is ability to do future business, as loans will be significantly harder to get, since the company is now a convicted felon.
@marklemley @mmasnick @tedgarrison3 What makes loans harder to get as a felon? Is there some law that creates more requirements to loan to a felon company or something? Obviously potential lenders already know the company and it’s uniqueness.
