Mastodon is “too hard…not user friendly…there’s nobody like me there.” Look, I’m from the old school who had to learn that thing that looked like a TV and a typewriter. And you had to type these long letters & numbers called URL. To get around you had to use something called a mouse that clicked on text called links. Where you said to your best bud so many times, Sis, what’s an internet??? Trust & believe, if we really want to, YES WE CAN.

@Deglassco Just wait...when I was young we had manual typewriters, not electric ones, and we wrote letters and sent postcards....and I thought it would always be that way. Technology will continue to evolve rapidly...and your child might ask, "What's a thermometer?", or "What's a newspaper?" Things seem to be becoming obsolete rapidly.
@nicla101 They already wonder why we used manual thermometers and hard copy newspapers.
@Deglassco My neighbor's twelve year old...."I want it now!" "I don't want to walk!" "My backpack has books!" I walked a mile to school for several years...no backpack. I also had to save if I wanted anything. I'm stunned by the lack of patience and the demand. Different days these days. Sad in many ways to me.
