Elon Musk is now trying to breathe life into made-up conspiracies about Democratic fundraising and Brazil’s elections. Tesla and SpaceX can go screw themselves. Every purchase and every contract is financing this insanity.
@aravosis Stop buying Teslas! There are several competent alternatives now, and a crashing Tesla stock would be a good humility lesson for EM

@bls The big thing in the U.S. is the charging networks just aren't there, except for Tesla's superchargers.

When/if those open up to other cars, or some other good network(s) actually get built out, though...

The sad thing to me is Tesla really played a big role in making this happen, put all the pieces together, but Elon is increasingly harmful to them. Not just in association, but stupid stuff like removing the parking sensors.

@hackbod @bls This! I’m trying to find an adequate replacement for my Tesla. Charging network is super important especially for those who do not live on the coasts or only drive in bigger cities. I need range and quick, available charging.
@Spudsforever Yeah I have a Model 3, and figure a new car is on hold for at least the next couple years until either Tesla is out of Elon's influence (and making things again I would buy), or the charging situation for non-Tesla cars is in better shape.
@hackbod it’s near impossible to replace bc of the onboard tech and the charging network. Recently, I had minor service done on mine, and wandered through the semi-local show room. I asked the sales guy about trade-in. He said to go to Carmax for a trade-in .He quoted me a figure that was higher than what I actually paid for the vehicle new in 2019. If I could find another EV with quick charging and same performance at that price point; I will sell in a heartbeat
