Prototype Rev.A of my newly designed keyboard variant with Vintage Alps has been completed. While it is working as expected, Rev.B is on its way for some cosmetic changes on the key layout. I am very excited to show the first peak. Here it is based on (not so great) white clicky Alps for testing purposes.
@darkcruix that’s fantastic! I’ve been wanting to build my own keyboard for a while, and would love to use alps switches for it, though the limited number of keycaps for them kind of hold me back. Have you found a good set or are you planning to use alps to cherry converters? Wondering what the extra height does to the key stability and look. On the other hand… that vintage alps feel, nothing beats it.
@cognitivegears Stay tuned ;) I have been using Tai-Hao [https://shop.tai-hao.com/products/abs-104-a01bp201-1-1] for some of my boards which are reasonable, but not what I will have for this specific type.

Alps Keycaps taihao

@darkcruix will do! I have a set of the Dolch, which are ok but just don’t quite live up to the quality of the switches imho. I also have some fantastic AEKII caps that I had dyed, but through an accident while moving lost a few of the caps, and can’t bring myself to ruin a working AEKII to get more - waiting to find another broken AEKII or something else.
