Iโ€™m gearing up to plant a garden for the first time! Iโ€™m in the inner richmond in SF. anyone here have tips on what has grown well for them here, or resources to check out?

mostly going to do raised beds but also curious about what grows well in the natural soil. interested in things that are edible, mostly, or helpful in some way - plants that contribute to local pollinators etc. low water use preferred

@christa Borage (blue flowered herg bees love) CA poppies. Bees love easy to grow. Johnny Jump ups are pretty and edible in salads. Most all lettuces should do well for you. Asparagus, artichokes, strawberries, carrots. All easy. Sweet peas are lovely. Get yourself the book Golden Gate Gardening by Pam Pierce. You can thank me later. Visit Annie's annuals in Richmond. #gardening
