It’s beginning to look a lot like #Christmas here in #Streatham #london
And I must admit to being very pleased with our new book shelf. At last somewhere to put the books that I just couldn’t part with. A fraction of the ones that belonged to my Dad. Nice feeling.
@CatherineRussell2 Love it! Using every nook & cranny - we have 1 like it along the bathroom corridor - too high to get at easily (need a chair) but keeps them safe. Well done for idea & execution & the wall is beautiful!
@CatherineRussell2 Oh I do love that!! The perfect home 🥰
@CatherineRussell2 Books are like old friends. Just having them around warms your heart. And what a beautiful new shelf. I love it.
@CatherineRussell2
Does it go all along the room or just the 1 wall?
#creative
@CatherineRussell2 A lovely shelf it is too. I envy the memories in each of the books. My family aren't big on books, road atlases, but not books. I suppose I will have the memories of using the atlases being co-pilot for my dad.
@CatherineRussell2 the molding along the ceiling looks nice. What's the design? Does MoM(Big Rich)help you
@CatherineRussell2 I have to admit they look gorgeous up on that shelf...such an a effective way of displaying them. But what I'm wondering is what should happen if you ever want to read any of them. Has @BigRichFilms built you a library ladder as well to reach them. 🤔 XxX
@CatherineRussell2 hubby been busy making book shelves, what a beautiful feature to add to your sitting room.
@CatherineRussell2 Love that! As someone who can’t even part with books I know I’ll now never read, this could be very useful.
@CatherineRussell2 I am in aww of your bookshelf.
@CatherineRussell2 I must say, that with your (freshly painted) walls and decor, it really does add some majorly impressive warmth to what looks like a lovely traditional & cozy room full of a magical Christmas! ☺️
@CatherineRussell2 wow wow and double wow, it's beautiful
@CatherineRussell2 Gorgeous, as ever. I love all the fairy lights! Must be grand to see the fruits of your earlier work refreshing the room! I still have a few more things to put up. But we’ll have a fire this afternoon, certainly. Now, I’m learning carols on my ukulele.
@CatherineRussell2 the new red walls really add to the Christmassy feeling. I’ll get your Christmas Carol on later as I get my tree up
@CatherineRussell2 Love the fairy lights. They just scream Christmas and celebration time.
@CatherineRussell2 it sure is, always admire your decorations.
@CatherineRussell2 here too in sunny Ramsgate
@Golddevil Oh, I just love seeing other people's Christmas Trees. Ours can't go up till after our Carol Party on the 17th.
@CatherineRussell2 it's full of history some decorations on it are 100 years old. It isn't colour coordinated, or fancy with matching Decs, the kids do it and it's full of love.

@CatherineRussell2

@Golddevil
Because of the cats? My OH surprised me and put up my Mom's old tree when I wasn't home. Forgot we had it.

@LuckyLadyInStepney Because of the masses of people. There's not enough room until after the party.
@CatherineRussell2
When was your last one? 2 years ago? It will be epic. 🤶
@CatherineRussell2 cosy and just loverly❤️
@CatherineRussell2 Put up my Christmas tree today. Well it has it's lights on it anyway, no decorations as yet. I discovered when looking, I have more Christmas lights than I imagined, and putting them up is usually the highlight of Christmas for me. But this year for some reason, I don't know if I have it in me to do it, I can't seem to find any enthusiasm or joy in the thought of doing it. XxX
@CatherineRussell2 My Christmas Tree finally went up today,

@CatherineRussell2
You should explain to our new friends that your reading room looks like that year round 😀and produces extraordinary things. Here's a snippet from Stave 2 and a link.
