If you protest against the worsening climate disaster, you are punished much harder than if you perform the same actions for other reasons. It’s like those in power have a bad conscience, they know they are failing and angrily lash out against those holding up a mirror to them.

@rahmstorf Das einzige, was mir als geeignete Form des Protests einfällt, wäre der Druck durch verbindliche juristische Entscheidungen, also z.B. Urteile durch Behinderung von Klimaschutz, damit fahrlässige Tötung (durch entstehende Wetterextreme, Dürren etc.). Ich bin Laie, also bitte die Formulierung gern korrigieren.)

Überlegungen zum Klimaschutz. Das Vorgehen des sich-anklebens ist nicht zu Ende gedacht. Ich kann mir zum jetztigen Zeitpunkt aber keine!! Art des Protests, Warnung etc. vorstellen, weil die man das "Weltbild" von Leuten, Parteien verändern müsste. Jede Änderung/Abkehr müsste für diese von innen heraus kommen. Das erfordert Mut und auch ein Stück "Gesichtsverlust", weil man sich der Meinung des Gegners anschliest. "Nicht sein kann - nicht sein darf." 1/2

So my question is if this kind of protesting is simple engaging in Apocalyptic thinking or actually doing/offering practical solutions like developing something along the lines of a smart energy grid or harnessing the heat generated by server farms to heat cold homes?
