Anyone still posting on Twitter is actively helping the fascists achieve their goals. Musk is banning leftist accounts and hate speech is up 61%.
STOP TWEETING!
FIGHT THESE BASTARDS! FIGHT THE FASCISTS!
@godpod I rarely post there and will be deleting my account but I kind of want to go on there and post some radical left stuff just to get banned. πŸ˜…
@hellinhelen @godpod Delete your DMs and posts 1st, because you won't be able to after you're banned.
@notroot @godpod Good point! Thanks! I really don't have much on Twitter at all. But I'll make sure there's nothing I want to keep. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Copied this from another post:
"To wipe things, deactivate your account, then go to bird site /login and reactivate it. All of your followers will be gone. Now lock the account and let it rot. @semiphemeral is a great tool for wiping data, including DMs."
@joeinwynnewood @hellinhelen @notroot @godpod
But i want all my tweets be gone. As in ALL of them then let it rot.
@FridaKahlua @hellinhelen @notroot @godpod
I'm not sure you can actually do that.
Deleting your account doesn't mean they delete your tweets.
You'd likely have to delete each one by hand (and even then, they may be marked as deleted, but not actually gone off of the Twitter servers...).
@joeinwynnewood @FridaKahlua @hellinhelen @godpod Yah... you can do what you can, but it was too late the second you git the "Tweet" button.
@notroot @joeinwynnewood @FridaKahlua @godpod I pretty much assume that anything I put online will always be there one way or another.
@joeinwynnewood @FridaKahlua @hellinhelen @notroot @godpod I used Tweet Deleter and deleted 25,000 tweets in one go. Do it!!!
@biddy_sue @FridaKahlua @hellinhelen @notroot @godpod
I don't know which tool you used, but several are reviewed at https://mackiestdon.com/best-tweet-deleter-tool/.
And still, my best guess is that it will look like your tweets are deleted, no end user can see them (the interface won't show any tweet marked as deleted), but they are still out there on Twitter's disks.

@joeinwynnewood @biddy_sue @FridaKahlua @hellinhelen @godpod Ah... well, that's the thing is I tried it back in 2006 or so, hated it, and never looked back. I joined #mastodon because I've been waiting for this to happen for years. I hoped #diaspora was the solution to FB abuses back when. But SM needs network effect.

I'm just happy people are leaving corporate walled gardens for the #fediverse. Now I can participate, because I won't use Twitter. Period. And I'm not alone.
