I would like to experience the original #Myst Ages again, without accrued knowledge or hints or walkthroughs. Just a notebook & pen & lonely exploration. I might have enough self-control to avoid looking up puzzle solutions. Either online or in my journals.

And it's been long enough that I might have forgotten the details.

Except the soundtrack. I've been listening to those albums for the last few decades.

Do I want the 2021 release, real-time ray-traced on an M1 MBP? Or the nostalgic memory?

@ellie i tried playing myst a few years ago and couldn't do it. it was too distressing. i loved myst as a kid but got absolutely sucked into it. then as an adult these memories came back.

@ellie I play through the #Myst series every few years. I collect the puzzle solutions exploring the ages each time, avoiding looking up hints unless I really get stuck. It’s still really fun after all of these years

@ellie 2021 version has an option to randomize puzzle solutions. Also full VR support. Gets my recommendation.
