Lone Skum has burned me for life as a #Tesla customer.

I'm an early adopter of hybrids and EVs. I bought my first Prius in 2005, and then a second in 2014. I bought a Chevy Volt in 2012, and another in 2016. I have long been an admirer of Tesla's vehicles, and I put a deposit down on a #Cybertruck in 2019 when it was first announced.

I've gone from extreme enthusiasm, to "wouldn't be caught dead in one," in just a few months. I will NEVER buy a Tesla at any price.

@sean I haven't bought one yet, but have been looking at it. Problem is, I have concerns about the politics/donation activities of Toyota, too. Our local Subaru dealer just got a single Solterra. I may take a look.

Toyota has been a bit of a laggard in the EV space. But I don't think they can hold a candle to the fascist crap Elon Musk has been pulling. There are other options for EVs. Kia makes a nice one. I also have a deposit on a Chevy Blazer EV. We'll see how that one turns out when it's released.
