If you’re one of the tens of millions of hardworking people wondering why your $10K or $20K student loan forgiveness is on hold, here’s why.

A GOP plaintiff—who himself had $48K in PPP loans forgiven—is suing because he only got only $10K—not $20K—in student loan forgiveness.🤦🏽‍♂️ So he’s suing to burn it all down. The GOP hypocrisy and war on working people is truly a thing to behold.

And this is why we can’t have nice things. Smh.

@QasimRashid what about people like me that paid all their student bills? And have no debt now? It seems most unfair!
@britishtechguru @QasimRashid
Genuine question. Unfair how? We don’t all individually benefit from every governmental action…
I would argue it’s unfair that the government is double dipping here. Our student loan nightmare is the result of continually reducing higher education funding pushing students into debt. Then charging those students interest on that debt even though their education increases tax revenue, reduces social assistance & lowers crime.
@LogicalApex @QasimRashid
Why should the public fund student loans of people that take worthless courses that can never lead to a viable income? Why fund pedophiles that did childcare courses in order to gain access to children then ended up permanently unemployable as a result as well as in debt? An appropriate course, passed will yield an income sufficient to pay student debts.
@britishtechguru @QasimRashid Why should the public pay for schools for parents who can’t afford private education? For the obvious reason that the societal benefits are high if we educate our children.
If we continue down the current path of dwindling college education rates and higher burdens on students being able to attend. We’ll lose the highly educated workforce that powers the last segment of the global economy we lead in; Information Technology.
@LogicalApex @QasimRashid Education should be free at all levels. Ignorance is expensive! The problem is educational institutions are milking the student population, pedaling courses that cost so much that the student is unlikely to be able to do much aside from make debt repayments their whole life. That is paired with a total lack of worthwhile job placement as part of a course and the fact that many so-called-courses are utterly devoid of any value to employers.
