Our family has a young friend with #DuchenneMuscularDystrophy. We fundraise to help find a cure, - currently believed to be imminent enough to save many thousands of lives.

Each of my children has taken on a challenge to help. Last year, my 11 year-old walked the 102 mile #CotswoldWay. Thanks to people’s incredible generosity, he raised £10k for #DuchenneUK!

I am so proud of him ❤️

@DrLygo I didn’t know they were close to finding a cure. I known 2 families afflicted by #duchennemusculardystrophy and it’s just heartbreaking. Well done to your young man.

@Everhopeful1000 It is absolutely heartbreaking. There are some potentially powerful gene-related therapies on the horizon. Of course, in trial terms, this could still be a number of years out, but with luck, a very small number of years - enough to help save many of the children who currently have it.
