@meganmariehart Such a great aria. Thanks for posting. Was first introduced to it via Kiri Te Kanawa's rendition on her amazing album "The Sorceress" which, incidentally, has an entire concept video that went with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92fDaSIOXcg

@jodymgordon Thank you for sharing this video, it looks amazing! Going to watch it on the TV!

Here’s an old video of a Lascia ch’io pianga with the wonderful dancer Caroline Copeland and Bourbon Baroque where we re-imagined how an intimate baroque performance could have felt.

@meganmariehart Thanks so much for that video. Great imagination and beautiful singing. Kudos. It's the kind of piece that shows what you can do with a few bars. I like to riff on it on the piano sometimes - so simple, but lots of possibilities. #Mozart could write like this too; maybe he learned it from #Handel e.g., "Ave Verum Corpus" or some of the slower Zauberflöte numbers. Anyway, my exciting opera day will include watching #Rimsky's "Christmas Eve" on #OperaVision tonight. A rarity!
