This action is an assault on all physicians in the State of Indiana

The Indiana AG has been using his office to attack Caitlin Bernard after she provided a legal abortion to a 10-year-old in July and spoke about the issues raised by abortion bans

He has now referred her for administrative action to the state medical board despite the fact that no laws, rules, or norms were broken

Physicians around the country should be screaming to the high heavens about this

@gbosslet I want to see how this turns out. There are a lot of questions unanswered in this announcement about if the Dr had consent to share the story. Normally if you can deidentify the info you can share a story, but in this case, telling any part of the story would be difficult as it points to 1 patient. IIRC I believe the Dr did make the report to law enforcement. This whole situation around the Dr has been a political hot button.

I don't think many dispute the fact that she shared no protected health information. There are a lot of 10 year olds in Ohio.

@gbosslet - Not knowing all the full details, I would agree with your assessment on PHI. To be clear my belief is she is getting railroaded for doing the right thing.
