@dwshaffer yeah. I use a third party app 98% of the time so I very rarely see ads. Makes it much more pleasant. And I personally don’t have a big troll problem, so for now, I’m mostly going to stay over there.

@dwshaffer A. Tweetbot. (It’s made by Tapbots and apparently they are working on a mastodon client, so that’s good news.)
B. Yeah this is a big issue. It’s not a great scenario right now. But also capitalism in general makes living in this word difficult. Not a lot of great choices available. So I don’t know. This federated model doesn’t have a lot of the affordances I have on twitter.
