A bit of a #Mastodon conundrum. I’ve wanted to spend more time here and less time on #Twitter recently because this community has provided a better experience than the Twitter community. I also appreciate that folks here share updates on Twitter so I don’t have to spend more time on the #birdsite. That said, folks here spend so much time wringing their hands about Twitter that they miss the unique opportunities presented by the #fediverse.

Tired: #Mastodon posts dunking on screenshots of Elon Tweets. Dunk on him in a #Twitter QT. Don’t dunk here at all.

Wired: Mastodon posts talking about how the #fediverse can provide better solutions than Twitter and create a positive community for more users.

@ianhillmedia I have to disagree on big bird; there's a public importance in following his rapid descent into a McAfeean psychosis of sorts. A great deal of non-bird damage can be accomplished before he reaches the same ends.
@alltherum I hear you, although I’d add that the damage is caused by influencers amplifying what’s happening on Twitter; the general American public is not on Twitter. To re-phrase my question, though: is fighting against the changes happening on Twitter the best use of Mastodon?
@ianhillmedia I'm acting quickly to mute/block accounts that share the crap I got tired of seeing over there.
