@MentallyRetired wow I'm doing some more research because it actually looks like it would be a skyraider. However I'm cheating with a full picture I took and looks like it's just barely not a skyraider.

@MentallyRetired @endoram_real It does look like it could be a F6 Hellcat. The exhaust is in the right place and it has the slightly bent wings like the F4 Corsair.

@endoram_real @drcdiva Bearcat? My grandpa flew a Skyraider from CV45 in the Korean war btw. Love seeing these vintage planes.

@drcdiva @MentallyRetired I would love to hear his stories and learn from his experiences! That is correct! It is in fact a Grumman F8F Bearcat.

@endoram_real @drcdiva I would love to share some of his stories, but he passed away not long after he Korean war. My mom was super young, so yeah... I never met him.

However, a bunch of his ship mates and families of the CV-45 sailors hang out on this Facebook group. Truly incredible reading their stories. I'm sure they would love your photos.
