I’m just going to say it. In-n-Out burger is vastly overrated. Decent burger? Sure. Fairly priced? Totally. Better than Goodtimes? Absolutely not. Worth waiting in an hours long line or going out of your way for? Absolutely not. I don’t get the hype. #hottake
@Rachl_m How did you order your burger? This is key.
@chopaganda fair enough. I ordered just the cheeseburger (had to add pickles?!?!) and fries. Should be the baseline of any burger joint. Do I need to order something crazy for it to be good? Cause IMO if you can’t make a good basic burger, I’m not going to care about the rest of your menu. I don’t like tons of meat so I did not get a double double or whatever. Is there some magic secret menu I need to order for it to be worthwhile?
@Rachl_m You need to order your burger “animal style.” Then report back.
@chopaganda I will take any excuse to eat a burger so I absolutely accept the challenge, but surely we have to agree the fries are meh at best.
@Rachl_m Yes. Their fries are terrible.
@chopaganda alright Chop. We’re on our way to get some Animal Style burgers. I hope to be proven wrong. 😜

@Rachl_m “double double animal style”

LOVE IT!

@chopaganda I’ll get back to you in an hour I guess lol. 😂
@Rachl_m It goes by quickly. The “double double” aspect is key for the proper bun/meat/cheese ratio.
@chopaganda I’m wondering if this is for people who like more meat in their burger than me. Should I get extra cheese on the regular animal style?
@Rachl_m Just go “double double animal style” — you don’t have to eat the whole thing. And if you don’t like it, you know In-N-Out just isn’t for you.
@chopaganda ok. I’m gunna go for it.
@chopaganda alright. In N Out tastes better than crow. Animal style double double is way better than their regular cheeseburger. Animal style fries were meh but… the burger did go up the ranking a few notches.
@Rachl_m It's all about the onions cooked in beef fat. And yes, the fries still blow.
@Rachl_m @chopaganda I like the fries if they’re made extra crispy. People forget that a lot of the appeal of in and out is the freshness and quality of the ingredients and the consistency of the service.
@Rachl_m @chopaganda A friend of mine’s uncle was a USDA inspector and it’s the only fast food restaurant he would eat at.
@chopaganda @Rachl_m I prefer the lower ratio of meat. Give me more fixins and a second burger with extra fixins over a double any day
