Twitter was a nice website but it's dead now. Don't be fooled by the corpse twitching. Luckily, we can make more websites, and we will.
@seldo exactly, if you cut the head off a chicken it runs around for a *really* long time but that doesn't mean its still alive...
@seldo This. I think it’s easier for those of us who’ve been flushing around the inter tubes for over thirty years, and for whom The Birdshit was like, meh, social media solution #10…

@seldo

I'm not fooled by the corpse twitching, but I am following zombie outbreak protocol.

@seldo

LMAO at corpse twitching.

This is true.

@seldo so many folx are mourning for no reason
@KimCrayton1 I think it's valid to mourn, but also to move on.
@KimCrayton1 @seldo So I am a little sad about the connections I made and can't find now but my goodness do I feel better staying off there! Towards the end it was absolutely infested with trolls and bots.
@seldo it's not dead, we could have a wake for that and remember the good times.
It's got developing dementia and we get to watch it lose coherence and repeat half remembered stories while growing more fearful and less able to take care of itself.
@seldo gonna make so many websites
@seldo Are you actually kidding? Twitter is far from dead. I am not going to a wake just yet.
@seldo and we can build our own servers and invite others and give them a space to express and explore. I’m absolutely all in.
@seldo In the far west of the interwebs - one saloon isn't enough

@seldo

Remember, though, that a decapitated rattlesnake head can still bite - and without the rest of its body to control it, it discharges all of its venom.

That's why they should be buried properly and not left lying around.

@seldo It's hardly even twitching. People just keep poking at it creating the illusion of motion.
