And now, a word from Post, the self-proclaimed "Social Platform for Real People, Real News, & Civil Conversations"—unless you're disabled.

Oh, sure, I'm sure we'll be welcomed at some point in the nebulous future, "but first, let's get everyone in" writes their "Chief Poster", Noam Bardin. It simply underscores the unavoidable fact that—to the majority of the abled—we're not just an afterthought: we're still not even "real people"

Why are we not working on... / Post.

@oedipusnj this is awful. build the platform with accessibility in mind from the beginning. then it might work as a platform for civil convserations

@han_kyoul Precisely. The the most important principle of accessible design is that accessibility naturally flows & institutionally permeates a team, company or organization only with the presence & participation of people with disabilities at every single stage of the design, development & implementation of any project or architecture, physical or technological.

One of my personal mantras comes from an archival sample that appears at the end of Love & Rockets’ b-side, “Inside the Outside”:

“If you've built something from the inside out, then you won't have any difficulty in penetrating from the outside in"

@oedipusnj cool song, even cooler quote
@han_kyoul Unfortunately I've never been able to source it, & I've been trying since 1985. It wasn't credited on the 12-inch, nor in any discographical resources pertaining to L&R.
