I’ve been calculated about bringing this up and now is the time.💖✊🏽

@ChaseTMAnderson I recently tried to reach out with love but instead was told to FO from another user. I am always willing to open my heart/mind and learn. I guess it's just a matter of learning how to do so without making the mistake of not realizing my questions/interest was not welcome at all.
All humans are beautiful and we should celebrate our unique traits instead of using them to tear each other down.

@AppalachianCrochet @ChaseTMAnderson There are things to avoid when asking about someone’s racialized experience. First among them is not asking a person sharing their experience for unpaid teaching. It happens so very often that it’s just another inequal burden.
So to be sure, always check if they’ve invited questions first!
If not, leave them unquestioned, and ask Google or the like instead—there is a LOT of work already written that answers the common questions.
@robinshipton Thank you my dear. I am a well read person but I do think my interest in personal stories to give me perspective into their individual experience may be where I have missed the boat on being polite (without intention.)
I will take this and run with it for the future. Best wishes and lots of love!
