person A has an opposing political view to yours i.e. right wing left wing dorsal fin,etc. Does them having this opposing political view mean that ANY and ALL information they give you must be disregarded? Does the general population lack the ability to gain useful information from enemies/opposition because of a perceived difference?
@Ashland if someone believes the Earth is flat or that Q is a real thing, or COVID is a lie, I am absolutely going to doubt their cognition and critical thinking about almost anything. So yes, I suppose certain politics and religion can cause me to distrust information I get from people, even with the knowledge they can be blind spots.

@hacks4pancakes @Ashland it's crazy to me that people in 2022 STILL say COVID is "fake". I think logically people can debate the death rate, effects, how we handled it, etc.

But to say it's FAKE, no Bueno

@Ashland
I'm a stickler for sources, and people who are on the right rarely care about the truth and providing sources for their lies so, in general, yes.
