A new warp on the small loom today. This will hopefully work out well enough to allow me to make a new laptop cover after it is done. I enjoy weaving tartan style colours and for this I am using my #ArcadiaDK yarn base in colours Moonshine, Ripe Rowan Berries, Shimmering Sea (not available online) and Assynt Peat.

@HelenLockhart I have a nice good Swedish floor loom, but I look at rigid heddle projects with envy. Lovely colors! What's your dent?
@knittingknots I'm using DK on a 7.5dpi reed. I love the simplicity of the RH loom. I think I'd be overwhelmed with anything more complex. I have enough difficulty choosing colours when starting a new project!
@HelenLockhart I like to weave at the finer dents, but I hate to wind the warp and thread it up, so I understand! But it always feels so good to start weaving!
@knittingknots At some point I'm aiming to use laceweight yarns but the thought of the warping is a little overwhelming! One day though ...
@HelenLockhart Most of my weaving has been cotton at 8/2 and 10/2 thread weights. Warping is a big pain even with a big warping mill to do the measuring, and I never measure less than 5 yards, and usually try for 10, b/c warping is such a pain, and weaving is a joy. LOL.
