Yarn cakes are so satisfying. This one is called Hubble Bubble 2407 from my Quinag range - I mean it looked pretty in the hank (even if I say so myself) but caked it is just so satisfying.

I'm delighted to say that I'm adding a new yarn base to the Ripples Crafts range of yarns - Suilven DK is a mix of merino, silk and yak, and each 100g hank contains approximately 212m of plied yarn. I have stocked Suilven 4ply and Suilven lace for some years now and they are both popular yarns. So I decided to add the DK to the range.
I'll be launching the base at the upcoming Glasgow School of Yarn. But here is a taste of what colours are to come:
3 new versions of Assynt Storms on my Quinag base have gone up in the shop. Quinag is a 100% Bluefaced Leicester 4ply superwash wool, and each 100g hank contains approx 400m of yarn. I don't often do the Assynt Storms style of dyeing on the Quinag base, so if you like it, grab it!

Two new "Assynt Storms" colourways are up in the shop now. They are both on my Reliable Sock Yarn base which contains approx 420m of yarn and is made up of 75% wool and 25% nylon.
Any hank named Assynt Storms is dyed using a technique that results in a colourway that is unique and unrepeatable.

I don't do shade cards, simply because I have so many colours in my range, and colours look very different on different bases, so my shade card would be never ending and a constant chore to keep up to date. But I needed a few cards for a specific project, and they are pretty. I'll give them that.
