One thing I've struggled with since becoming #single has been #cooking for myself. To the point that for the last few months I've just bought seven supermarket ready meals each week and left it at that. I'm aware that cooking will be beneficial to my overall #health and #wellbeing and possibly cheaper than ready meals. But, getting back into the swing of it is proving harder than I thought. I'm struggling to overcome a massive hurdle...

I can't be arsed. 😏

@RachelWorthington Should look at it like giving yourself a present, a wonderful present.
@mbrmark That's a good way of looking at it. Thanks 👍
@RachelWorthington Maybe there is something you'd like to eat that doesn't happen in ready meal land that you could experiment with? That way it's a one off for the moment, you might get pleasure from it, and you can continue other days with ready meals or whatever is comforting to carry on with. You don't need to do it for seven days a week to begin with.
@Bohemiangirl True. Start with old favourites and work back in.
@RachelWorthington Yes, it does take a while to get out of the funk especially if cooking was a thing you enjoyed with your partner. But like everything, as the grief fades with time, you’ll get back into it again. For now, treat yourself to the tastiest and most luxurious ready meals!
@RachelWorthington understandable but unhealthy in the long run. Good luck.
@RachelWorthington Eating alone after years of a schedule, I became a widow a few months ago, my life was ready for big changes but never seen this outcome.
