Seriously. Who's up for it? #MastoMusicCollab

Let's define some rules. I'm (wide) open to suggestions, but here's what's on my mind:

- Interested musicians, reply with what instrument you can play.

- Define who's doing the first base track (the whole mood of the final song will be heavily influenced by it, of course, so maybe it should be somewhat "unopinionated", so not an overly specific genre or anything).

- Agree on the order in which we want to record more tracks. For each one, I can do a rough mix of the previous tracks.

(cont.)

- When recording each track, also record yourself on video. Let's make this a visual thing too. I (or a better video editor) can edit it.

- Also needed: someone who can mix the hell out of it (or I can do a shit job of it if need be).

- Probably upload the final thing to YouTube (open to suggestions!)

What say you?

I used to use Kompoz.com (I have no affiliation) and they have a unique paradigm that we could adopt. Might even be useful to use their site. Basically itโ€™s a freeform collaboration (1/2)

We basically all start with the same basic files, then people with similar likes can branch off. Basically make multiple songs in a freeform inclusive way

@Johnny hmm it does sound interesting, but for the first project, I'd like to keep things simpler. I went into the website and they talk about all kinds of conditions and licensing and split agreements... for now, I just want us to _do_ something and put it on the web.

But, also, there are 20 people already on the sheet, so we should probably split into groups. I can "direct" one, and people can volunteer to do the same for others.

@cambraca maybe shared Google drive folders. Can you add a column โ€œGenre you are most interested inโ€ it might help to group users
@Johnny yeah, exactly. I'll add that col
@cambraca just realized you have it already. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ
@Johnny oh, no, I added it *just now* (but also moved genre stuff from the "notes" column to it, for the people that had filled it ๐Ÿ˜‰)
