Who is on your personal wishlist of people you would really like to see on Mastodon who aren't here yet? I would really like to see Rob Lee, Dale Peterson, Malcolm Nance, and Michael Okuda. I can only pester Rob, but thus far it has not worked.
@hacks4pancakes honestly I think I’m missing a ton of #blacktechtwitter folks I followed 😞 I’ve been keeping an eye on threads (here and on the bird site) about creating safe spaces for Black people over here or elsewhere, but haven’t seen a ton of movement yet.
@muteki @hacks4pancakes "If you build it they will come" ??? Rome wasn't built in a day. These things take time.
@danlinux @hacks4pancakes True, but inconsistent moderation standards across different Mastodon instances makes marginalized and underrepresented folks rightfully more cautious than many of us about moving over.
@muteki @hacks4pancakes That is an interesting observation and you have a good point. I choose to embrace the two for now. Mastadon is a tool and so is Twitter. These things take time and the concept of a federated social media medium can be sloppy at times. I believe as more join in and share their voices this can get better. [I value your opinion and voice... good day to you :)]
