@americandave Ah, this is really so very hard to answer, but I’m probably going to say We’re Only In It for the Money and Sheik Yerbouti.
If I need to focus, I just put on Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar on loop. If it’s a mood, I’ll start singing out loud the Muffin Man.
Although I recently saw BBC Symphony Orchestra play his orchestral work, and definitely started appreciating those more and more.
@8thcolumn "Roxy and Elsewhere" was my first mind-blowing #zappa experience. I keep returning to that era of the Mothers, and album-wise I think "One Size Fits All" could be among my favorites.
I also love the amazingly underrated "Wazoo" live album.
@americandave Those are all awesome choices! I also love Roxy & Elsewhere.
Also, Wazoo probably has one of the best album cover arts I’ve seen.
