This #Thanksgiving, thankful for all the folks who keep #Ukraine running against impossible odds.

To the train workers; the utility engineers; the lorry drivers keeping stores open. To logistics folks and the 1000s behind the scenes that make it possible to repair.

For the medical workers. The ambulance drivers. Surgeons. Nurses. The people digging through rubble to save those below.

For those who make homes safe; those who find the lost, and who help their families find peace.

Thank you.

And thankful for those overseas who could look away, but who don't. In governments. International orgs. The diaspora. And people at home.

Thankful to those who pick up the phone not because they must, but because it is right.

And thankful for Ukranians at home. Who for no reason beyond their nationality face a winter, made colder and darker than it should be. But who face it with their own unique warmth and light to defeat the wind of fascism blowing from the East.

To all of you, thank you.

@Pwnallthethings I'm wasn't sure how best to help, so I donated to the Red Cross. I think they have the capacity to work at a useful scale and help people.

The International Rescue Committee is handing out blankets and other supplies in Ukraine to help people there get through the winter. Some have plastic for windows, no heat, no power. Please consider donating what you can (CAD = Canadian $).
