A reminder that you can post about any topic at all on .art - you don't have to *only* post your art! We're here to follow people, not brands ^.^ You can talk about your daily life, share your pet pics, etc. - and you can also talk about the progress and method of your work; people here love the background and behind-the-scenes looks at people's creations as much as the finished products. You don't have to perform for an algorithm here - there isn't one. <3

@Curator I'm a little irritated by you mentioning that we "follow people, not brands" and also assert that users don't have to "perform for an algorithm" by just posting art. As if people who'd just rather not talk about their personal life or post about the way they make their art are somehow doing something unnatural. Maybe it's just me feeling that way.

@SIEGEPAINT It's absolutely fine to not talk about your personal life or to talk about the process behind your art if you don't want to. The reason I make a point of saying that those things *are* fine to talk about is because Twitter and Instagram punish people for posting those things by hiding them from viewers, so people coming here from those platforms have gotten into the habit of specifically not talking about them - not because they don't want to, but because they're afraid to.
