Is there a predisposition for developers to use recursive acronyms, or, do we see them in other industries?
And why do we seem to think we’re clever by making them (like the first time I saw Stallman talk about GNU, or, the latest iteration of YAML as an acronym)?
Jesus said we should ASK, Seek and Knock and if that is not a recursive initialism then 🤷 All is fair in love and war.
