@Alexandros2112 Agreed. I doubt it was intended at the time, but the final track on their final studio album became the absolute perfect swans song. Now all the more relevant with Neil’s passing.
@SdruhCram it was Neil's swan song. A lifetime of brilliance lead him to those lyrics. Time stops for me everyone I hear this song. It's just perfect.
@Alexandros2112 I saw Rush on their Snakes & Arrows Tour and on their Clockwork Angels Tour in #toronto. Great album, unfortunately the ACC is not conducive to good acoustics for such legends.
@maximum_bird agreed but for one exception. I was at their final performance they ever played in #Toronto on the Friday night. It was the Holy Grail of concerts. Best I've ever heard them play. The boys were conpletely in synch. Every song was as close to perfect as I've ever heard. Crowd energy was spectacular. The guys gave it their all and we felt it. A night I will never forget as a #Rush fan

@Alexandros2112 Something I'm sorry to have missed as a #Rush fan.

First time I ever heard Rush was on the radio, 106FM The Bear (Ottawa); Closer to the Heart was playing.

First time I saw them life was SARSFest 2003.

@maximum_bird I was at the Sars concert as well. Closer to the Heart was a great was to get introduced to #Rush . One of their most beloved and signature songs.

First time I heard the boys I was 10 years old and a friend of mine put on Moving Pictures on vinyl. The rest was history. My musical path was set.

@Alexandros2112 Rush was the best part of that show. Sure it was awesome to see the Stones but they weren't on point.
@maximum_bird yeah they were. First and only time I've seen the Rolling Stones as well.
@Alexandros2112 I saw them I'm Montreal for their No Security Tour. That was a great show.
@maximum_bird Montreal is an amazing city. Love it there. Big #Habs fan since I was a kid.
@Alexandros2112 it is a beautiful city. Used to be a summer day trip for me. Habs are my second choice team though.
@maximum_bird I go there annually for the Formula 1 race and Ive been to the Jazz Festival 3 or 4 times. City has such a great energy during those events.
@Alexandros2112 last time I went, like a dumb ass I went in April. It eas way wetter, slushier, and colder than I'd thought it'd be. Still a better vacation than visiting my mother.
@maximum_bird winters are rough in Montreal. They get crazy snow off the St. Lawrence River and terrible wind chill, but that's more from global warming than anything else.
@Alexandros2112 Ottawa was worse because it's in a valley where weather systems would settle in for weeks at a time.
@maximum_bird yeah Ottawa is on a whole different level. I went to Winterlude once in February and I legit felt that I was in the Artic Circle. That wind chill was absolutely insane. Made Montreal seem like Cancun

@Alexandros2112 Oh man. That windchill. Lemme tell you. It got pretty bad. I still remember one day where it was snowing and the temperature dropped to -35C with a windchill dropping git further to -45C. But a normal day was somewhere between -20c to -25C with windchill but at least it was sunny.

But my dad was all gung-ho about me going to class. Like 15 students and 2 teachers showed up. I don't think the principal did. I think this was '99, a year after the ice storm of '98.

@maximum_bird I hate wind chill but love snow. Growing up in #Toronto we used to get snow from Oct to March. Now we get 3 or 4 snowfalls a winter but those -40 c wind chill spells for 2 weeks straight, thanks to us destroying the environment with global warming.
@Alexandros2112 @maximum_bird man I wish I could have seen that. I was lucky enough to see them a few times in the UK. (Every tour from Hold Your Fire to Time Machine)
@by_tor @maximum_bird yeah it was a dream concert. I saw the boys 27 times, and that was the pinnacle performance. They poured their hearts into that show and we all felt it #Rush
@Alexandros2112 awesome to find some Rush fans on here!
@cjonesy thanks brother. Always great to find another Rush fan!
