Maureen HermanI noticed something just now while scrolling Mastodon after having just scrolled Twitter. I found myself smiling, feeling connected, and enjoying the time I spent here. On Twitter my brows were furrowed, stressed, exposed to BS like reinstating Trump polls. I know it’s convoluted here but I’m liking the people I’m running into and what they post. I’m going to check in here more often. It’s actually FUN.
Saggy@maureenherman I agree! At first it feels boring since the algorithm isn't jamming content into your face... but there's something more wholesome about *seeking* interesting discussions instead

I think it may be down to the designed in friction of discovery.
