BREAKING per New York Times: Federal prosecutors want to speak with former vice president Mike Pence as a witness to former President Donald Trump’s efforts to remain in power

@AdamParkhomenko

I'm not a scholar of how modern nation states work. But because January 6th directly threatened lives of many high elected officials, I'd expect strong pressure to enforce laws coming from those officials that narrowly escaped harm. One would image that protection of personal safety and security would by stronger than any tacit reluctance to prosecute major political figures.

But then again, there's Pence. I don't get him.

@AdamParkhomenko Do they "deserve" his testimony? 😎
@AdamParkhomenko I’m happy to see you over here on Mastodon, Adam. Hopefully the “old platform” will recover, but if not, we still have to stay informed.
@AdamParkhomenko Jan 7th was the time for this headline. The Feds have slow rolled this case for years in order to obstruct justice.

@AdamParkhomenko

"Want to speak to" versus "subpoena"... what the hell?!?

@AdamParkhomenko Sounds like Jack Smith is letting stuff get into the news. I like this for us.
@AdamParkhomenko How's he going to weasel his way out of this one?
