My day is filled with a free virtual conference, that includes undertones of #ungrading,
AND @Bali_Maha and @dbuckedu and @SuzanneWakim are presenting?? Say what?
OMG. So excited.

Random thought that others have probably tweeted:

If there isn't any evidence that traditional #grading increases/improves student learning, why do I need evidence that #AlternativeAssessment works?
#Ungrading

Idea: I overuse declaration quizzes. So, perhaps, I add in process letters or fill-in box documents where they reflect specifically on a unit or group of activities.
#ungrading #AlternativeAssessment
Idea #2:
Explain assignments on docs called THE DETAILS - How can a student write about anything within the English 110 Groups (it's sort of a choose-your-own adventure but I don't say that outright), or the 120 mini-arguments, etc.?
#ungrading
Idea #3.
Translate the #ungrading process of the course into a grading contract in the syllabus? What do they have to do (labor) to put that A in the LMS?
Idea #4.
Put my current checklists (most projects say: "At minimum, have XYZ in the product) into a single-point rubric and ask students how they’ll know they’ve achieved that nugget? #ungrading
#AlternativeAssessment
Idea #5.
Meet Ss 1-on-1 (give options if they can’t meet w/me - leave a voicemails, etc.) at midterm & the week before finals*?
*This could be a substitution for the last reflection & I can see where they are at w/any late work (we can make a plan together to finish).

@sybil oh I am so jealous! I was too busy!
