Hello all, does any one here please have any insight into #Twitter #moderation and how they decide what violates the rules? I’ve reported posts where people have manipulated my photo in a sleazy way, two others where I’ve been called a name, a few others where it’s clear I’ve been harassed. I’ve gone back to them and have asked why, but I’m also planning on writing about this. Some it seems they’ve just moderated them automatically. Thanks #extwitter #journorequest #onlinelife #digitalspace
@amyfallon I'd imagine since a majority of employees have left they are probably relying off of automation
@amyfallon I'd read a story (I think Forbes?) that, for Asia-Pacific, there's only one left in moderation, and they're a Korean-based contractor, not permanent staff.
@amyfallon My best guess would be that unless you're a far-Right leaning fascist and a white cishet male, it's open season on you for hate speech, bullying, stalking and harassment. From what I've been seeing/hearing from others online who left Twitter, Elon Musk and those handful of Twitter employees that he kept (suck-ups and fanboys, perhaps?) decide what constitutes a rules violation and what constitutes "free speech."
@amyfallon Twitter uses automation with normally people checking. All the people that were checking we're laid off. It's all automation now
