Dealing with considerable anxiety and disregulation. Usually happens worse around the holidays. I did a watercolor daily journal for a bit and fell out of it like all things influenced by ADHD. Been having trouble with art follow through lately, starting new piece after new piece. I need to go back to limiting myself to small size, time, and polish expectations so that I can feel accomplished. Then I can peck away at the larger projects without feeling like a failure.
If you're interested in the process, an art journal is another way to process thoughts or feelings. I found many colors or materials would represent certain things or help me while in certain moods. I've seen many people use this tool and everyone approaches it differently. I'll see about going through some of my books on art journaling and making recommendations.
(Ps- Art journaling is not the same thing as art therapy.)
@Xen I'd be curious to see some! I'm not really an artist but it's something I'd like to dip my toes into.

@Xen Beautiful work. Watercolor is one of my fav mediums too. 💕

This post hit me in the feels. My little art journal is one of the ways I soothe my frazzled anxiety brain while feeling creative and productive. I pop in an audiobook or my fav playlist with brush/pencil in hand and ride the wave. 🌈 The part I'm still working on is trying to art more often.
