🔥 Super difficult question : What is your favorite #NeilGaiman’s book ?

I think my personal favorite is #Neverwhere . Read it years and years and years ago. Still in awe . Incredible world building. Incredible story. Incredible characters.

@ablueboxfullofbooks @neilhimself @bookstodon I really loved Neverwhere, but I’ve probably read Good Omens the most times. I read it at least yearly, and I’ve had multiple copies ❤️
@amandagray @ablueboxfullofbooks @neilhimself @bookstodon For me, it will always be The Ocean at the End of the Lane. It touched my heart.
@kimlockhartga I agree. Ocean is very touching a pretty straightforward story but with many layers. It was my first Gaiman. American Gods is very different but also thoroughly enjoyable, almost a take on Tolstoy's War and Peace 😎 @amandagray @ablueboxfullofbooks @neilhimself @bookstodon
@larsibacken Oh, I loved American Gods, too.
@kimlockhartga Did you watch the Hulu adaption?
@larsibacken I did not. Was it good?
@kimlockhartga No idea :) The book was enough; didn't want to spoil my experience.
@larsibacken Yeah. Some things aren't translatable.

@kimlockhartga

Exactly.
The other way around is often more enjoyable, reading the book *after* you watched an adaption. You get all the parts they couldn't translate or chose not to.
